CuteBuilder

A free tool to build Qt 4 with Microsoft Visual C++

CuteBuilder project started

October 14th, 2008

The CuteBuilder project has been started, in order to succeed to QtBuilder which development has been stopped to avoid any future trademark issue with the name Qt (although Trolltech / Nokia did not complain). This new website is powered by Wordpress, and the graphical chart is inspired from the Beautiful Day theme by Arcsin.

CuteBuilder 0.7.0 has not been released yet because it is still under development, but it should be made available before the end of the month. Stay tuned!

    Sounds good.
Do you know if it is possible to build QtWebKit statically?
About the Phonon stuff i have readed it is impossible.

You are right, compiling Phonon as a static library produces link errors in the examples. I don’t have the time to go deeper, so the upcoming version of CuteBuilder will simply propose to disable Phonon (-no-phonon). By doing so, compiling Qt and the WebKit as static libraries works well (Qt 4.4.3).
